The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) informed on Thursday that natural gas inventories tumbled by 321 billion cubic
feet (bcf) in the week that ended January 24. This marked the 11th straight weekly drop in natural gas inventories, which
was the steepest since the week that ended January 19, 2024 (-326 bcf).
Economists had forecast a plunge of 313 bcf.
The previous
week saw a decline of 233 bcf.
