The UK's prime minister (PM) Keir Starmer said on Monday that the government will absolutely stick to the fiscal rules set out by the finance minister Rachel Reeves in the October budget as they are necessary to provide the wanted stability. The PM added that the Treasury will be ruthless over public spending cuts to help meet these fiscal rules.
Starmer also noted that he thinks that Reeves is doing a fantastic job and she has full confidence of both his and the entire Labour Party.
In addition, he assured that the UK will get the economic growth they need.
