The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas inventories increased by 47
billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended September 20. This marked the sixth straight weekly gain in natural gas inventories, which was also the strongest
one since early July (+65 bcf).
Economists had forecast a build of 52 bcf.
The previous
week posted a rise of 58 bcf.
