The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) announced
on Thursday that natural gas
inventories rose by 58 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended September
13. This marked the fifth straight weekly build in natural gas
inventories, which was also the strongest one since early July (+65 bcf).
Economists had anticipated an increase of 53 bcf.
The previous
week saw an advance of 40 bcf.
