European Central Bank Governing Council member Peter Kazimir said on Thursday he thinks that the ECB may cut interest rates once more this year.
The official also noted that he continues to see a significant risk of rising inflation, which may not fully align with the ECB expectations. "I expect this pressure of possible price increases mainly from wage growth,” he added.
Kazimir also said that he expects it to be a quiet summer for the ECB on interest rates. He added that, in his opinion, it is appropriate to wait for the staff's September economic projections as "those are the right moments to make the correct decisions".
