Speaking at a news conference Friday, Germany's health minister Jens Spahn said that the COVID-19 situation in the country is more serious than last week and that vaccinations won't be enough. “We are in a national emergency that needs a joint national effort,” he stated.
Asked about the possibility of imposing of full lockdown, the minister said that the country is in a situation where anything cannot be ruled out.
