The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) announced
on Thursday that natural gas
inventories jumped by 35 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended August
17.
Economists had foreseen a climb of 27 bcf.
The previous
week witnessed a fall of 6 bcf.
