The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) announced
on Thursday that natural gas
inventories increased by 21 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended August
2. This was the 18th straight weekly gain in natural gas
inventories.
Economists had predicted an advance of 22 bcf.
The previous
week saw a rise of 18 bcf.
