European Central Bank Governing Council member Gediminas Simkus said today that last week's GDP and inflation were as expected and hadn't changed his thinking.
The policymaker added that he believes the ECB can afford to reduce restrictions.
In Simkus's opinion, the ECB's initial interest rate cut is likely to come in June and be followed by other moves. Overall, the official sees three rate cuts for this year.
