Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum stated on Thursday that her government will give a comprehensive response to Trump's 25% auto tariffs on April 3, emphasising that her priority is to protect Mexican jobs.
The official asserted that there should not be tariffs within a free trade agreement and reaffirmed that Mexico remains open to dialogue with the U.S. government.
Sheinbaum added that Mexico will act in its best interest and revealed that she has requested a meeting with global auto industry executives to better understand the impact of the tariffs.
