Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey stated on Thursday that the policymakers really do have to wait and see evidence of falling inflation. He also emphasized that the central bank needs to be quite careful in its approach to policy easing.
Bailey added that he is closely watching for any signs of an increase in redundancies but noted that early indicators have not shown such a trend.
