The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas inventories declined by 223 billion cubic
feet (bcf) in the week that ended January 17. This was the 10th straight weekly fall in natural gas inventories., which
was the sharpest since the week that ended January 19, 2024 (-326 bcf).
Economists had forecast a draw of 244 bcf.
The previous
week saw a tumble of 258 bcf.
