The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) informed on Thursday that natural gas inventories jumped by 82
billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended October 4. This marked the
eighth straight weekly increase in natural gas inventories, which was also the
strongest one since late May (+98 bcf).
Economists had foreseen a surge of 71 bcf.
The previous
week registered a rise of 55 bcf.
