U.S. stock index futures surged on Friday as the September employment situation report indicated that the U.S. labour market remains in a solid position to keep the world's largest economy on a growth trajectory. Against this backdrop, investors trimmed their bets on interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve in the near term and now do not expect additional aggressive rate decreases this year anymore.
