Key events for next week: China's GDP, Canada, UK, eurozone and New Zealand CPI, China, US and UK retail sales, Australia and UK unemployment rate, ECB interest rate decision

On Monday, at 02:00 GMT, China will announce changes in GDP for the 2nd quarter, as well as the volume of investments in fixed assets, industrial production and retail sales for June. At 06:00 GMT, Germany will announce a change in retail sales for May. At 06:30 GMT, Switzerland will release the producer and import price index for June. At 09:00 GMT, the eurozone will report a change in industrial production for May. At 12:30 GMT, Canada will announce a change in wholesale sales for May. Also at 12:30 GMT, the United States will publish the NY Fed Empire State manufacturing index for July. At 14:30 GMT, in Canada, the Bank of Canada business outlook survey will be released. At 16:00 GMT, a speech by Fed Chairman Powell will be held.

On Tuesday, at 09:00 GMT, Germany and the eurozone will publish the ZEW economic sentiment index for July. Also at 09:00 GMT, the eurozone will report a change in the trade balance for May. At 12:15 GMT, Canada will announce a change in the housing starts for June. At 12:30 GMT, Canada will release the consumer price index for June. Also at 12:30 GMT, the United States will present the import price index for June and report changes in retail sales for June. At 14:00 GMT, the United States will publish the NAHB housing market index for July and announce changes in business inventories for May. At 22:45 GMT, in New Zealand, the consumer price index for the 2nd quarter will be released.

On Wednesday, at 01:00 GMT, Australia will release the Westpac leading index for June. At 06:00 GMT, Britain will publish the consumer price index, the retail price index and the producer price index for June. At 09:00 GMT, the eurozone will present the consumer price index for June. At 12:30 GMT, Canada will announce a change in foreign securities purchases for May. Also at 12:30 GMT, the United States will announce a change in the number of construction permits and housing starts for June. At 13:15 GMT, the United States will announce a change in industrial production for June. At 14:30 GMT, the United States will announce changes in oil and petroleum products inventories over the past week. At 18:00 GMT, in the United States, the Fed’s "Beige Book" will be released. At 23:50 GMT, Japan will report a change in the trade balance for June.  

On Thursday, at 01:30 GMT, in Australia, the Reserve Bank of Australia bulletin will be released. Also at 01:30 GMT, Australia will announce changes in the unemployment rate and the number of people employed for June. At 06:00 GMT, Britain will announce changes in applications for unemployment benefits for June, as well as average earnings and unemployment rates for May. At 12:15 GMT, in the eurozone, the ECB's interest rate decision will be announced. At 12:30 GMT, the United States will present the Philly Fed manufacturing index for July and announce a change in the number of initial applications for unemployment benefits over the past week. At 12:45 GMT, in the eurozone, the ECB will hold a press conference. At 20:00 GMT, the United States will announce a change in the TIC long-term purchases for May. At 23:01 GMT, in Britain, the Gfk consumer confidence index for July will be released. At 23:30 GMT, Japan will present the national consumer price index for June.

On Friday, at 06:00 GMT, Germany will release the producer price index for June. Also at 06:00 GMT, Britain will report changes in retail sales and net public sector borrowing for June. At 08:00 GMT, the eurozone will announce a change in the current account for May. At 12:30 GMT, Canada will present the industrial product price index for June and report changes in retail sales for May. At 17:00 GMT, in the United States, the Baker Hughes oil rig count report will be released.
