The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) announced on Thursday that natural gas
inventories declined by 40 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended March 1. This was the 14th straight weekly drop
in natural gas inventories.
Economists had
predicted a decrease of 40 bcf.
The previous
week registered a fall of 96 bcf.
