China's president Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that his country will implement proactive macroeconomic policies in 2025 to promote sustained economic recovery throughout the year. He emphasised the need to deepen reforms, expand high-level opening-up, and improve living conditions for citizens to enhance quality of life and maintain social harmony and stability.
Xi also revealed that he estimates China's GDP to grow by 5% in 2024, aligning with the official target. He noted that the Chinese economy has remained overall stable and continues to progress amid stability this year.
