The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas inventories advanced by 40
billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended September 6. This marked the fourth straight weekly increase in natural gas inventories.
Economists had expected a gain of 49 bcf.
The previous
week witnessed a rise of 49 bcf.
