Company news: BioNTech (BNTX) posts wider-than-expected quarterly loss

BioNTech (BNTX) reported Q2 FY2024 loss of EUR3.36 per share (versus EUR(0.79) per share in Q2 FY2023), worse than analysts’ consensus estimate of EUR(2.02) per share.

The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to EUR128.70 mln (-23.3% y/y), missing analysts’ consensus estimate of EUR134.98 mln.

The company also reaffirmed revenue guidance for FY2024 of EUR2.5-3.1 bln versus analysts’ consensus estimate of EUR2.78 bln.

BNTX fell to $79.25 (-3.37%) in pre-market trading.
