The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) announced
on Thursday that natural gas
inventories rose by 74 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended June 7. This was the
smallest gain in natural gas inventories in four weeks.
Economists had forecast an advance of 75 bcf.
The previous
week witnessed a surge of 98 bcf.
