The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas inventories surged by 98 billion
cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended May 31. This marked the largest
increase in natural gas inventories since
the week ended June 2, 2023 (104 bcf).
Economists had expected
a climb of 89 bcf.
The previous
week witnessed a jump of 84 bcf.
