Bank of England deputy governor Ben Broadbent stated on Monday that it’s possible Bank Rate could be cut sometime over the summer.
The official, however, stressed that less restrictive rates will depend on how the data is evolving.
Broadbent also noted that it is unclear how long the second-round effects of domestic inflation could persist.
