Key events for next week: Canada and UK CPI, Germany, eurozone, UK and US PMI indices, German GDP, UK retail sales

On Monday, at 10:00 GMT, in Germany, the Bundesbank's monthly report will be released. 

On Tuesday, at 00:30 GMT, Australia will present the Westpac consumer sentiment index for May. At 08:00 GMT, the eurozone will announce a change in the current account for March, and at 09:00 GMT - the trade balance for March. At 10:00 GMT, in the UK, the CBI industrial order expectations index for May will be released. At 12:30 GMT, Canada will publish the consumer price index for April. At 17:00 GMT, in the UK, a speech by the head of the Bank of England Bailey will be held. At 23:50 GMT, Japan will report changes in core machinery orders for March and the trade balance for April.

On Wednesday, at 02:00 GMT, in New Zealand, the RBNZ interest rate decision will be announced. At 06:00 GMT, Britain will release the consumer price index for April and announce a change in net public sector borrowing for April. At 14:00 GMT, the United States will announce a change in existing home sales for April. At 14:30 GMT, the United States will report changes in oil reserves over the past week. At 18:00 GMT, in the United States, the FOMC meeting minutes will be released. At 22:45 GMT, New Zealand will announce a change in retail sales for the 1st quarter.

On Thursday, the initial focus will be on the manufacturing and services PMI indices for May: France will report at 07:15 GMT, Germany at 07:30 GMT, the eurozone at 08:00 GMT, and Britain at 08:30 GMT. At 12:30 GMT, the United States will release the Chicago Fed National Activity Index for April and report changes in the number of initial applications for unemployment benefits over the past week. At 13:45 GMT, the United States will present the PMI indices in the manufacturing sector and the service sector for May. At 14:00 GMT, the United States will announce a change in new home sales for April. Also at 14:00 GMT, the eurozone will publish the consumer confidence index for May. At 22:45 GMT, New Zealand will report a change in the trade balance for April. At 23:01 GMT, Britain will release the GfK consumer confidence index for May. At 23:30 GMT, Japan will present the national consumer price index for April.

On Friday, at 06:00 GMT, Britain will announce a change in retail sales for April. Also at 06:00 GMT, Germany will announce a change in GDP for the 1st quarter. At 06:30 GMT, Switzerland will report a change in the non farm payrolls for the 1st quarter. At 06:45 GMT, France will release the business confidence index for May. At 12:30 GMT, the United States will announce a change in durable goods orders for April. Also at 12:30 GMT, Canada will report a change in retail sales for March. At 14:00 GMT, the United States will publish the Reuters/Michigan consumer sentiment index for May. At 17:00 GMT, in the United States, the Baker Hughes oil rig count report will be released.
