ECB's Governing Council member Kazaks says he is relatively fine with the current market pricing of the ECB's rate cuts

European Central Bank Governing Council member Martins Kazaks said on Thursday that he is relatively fine with the current market pricing of the ECB's rate cuts and, in his opinion, there is no need to disturb these expectations.

The official argued that conditions for a rate cut in June are there, and it would take massive economic surprise for the ECB not to move.

Kazaks also stated that rate cuts should be gradual and easiest to move at quarterly meetings when updated projections are released.

The policymaker added that the markets should not expect some kind of action at every meeting given that inflation will be moving sideways for most of the year.
