European Union (EU) Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni noted on Monday that acceleration of euro-area activity is taking place but warned that geopolitics are weighing on the region's outlook.
He also said that if no consensus is reached on the capital markets union, some member states will move forward together.
