Description
The index represents the total trading operations in Japan, excluding the season-related factors. Balance of trade is a difference between the amounts of manufactured and shipped out of country (exports) and brought into the country (imports) production. The positive balance of trade is referred to a trade surplus while the negative balance is a trade deficit. Since the Japanese economy largely depends on export, the trade information is critically important for the national economic development and alterations of the Japanese currency rate.
Effect of market
Generally the index has a moderate influence on the Yen dynamics. On the whole, the positive balance growth or decreased deficit is a positive sign for the Japanese currency.
